167 Hospitality Group's restaurant, 167 SUSHI BAR, in downtown Charleston is hiring a full time server.
167 SUSHI BAR serves nigiri, maki rolls, bao buns, izakaya, dumplings and more with a rotating menu. Our beverage menu is comprised of local beers, a curated wine list, and a large sake selection. Great beverage knowledge is a must.
All front of house employees are responsible to engage with the guests, input orders into a touchscreen POS system, pour wine, clear tables, clean and reset the dining room, as well as deliver dishes to the tables. This is a 24 seat restaurant serving lunch and dinner Monday - Saturday. Teamwork is important, and our crew embodies the “One dream, one team” mentality, and will participate in a tip pool.
The restaurant relies on the front of house to work as a team, and must have a courteous and professional attitude in the workplace. The company creates a positive and healthy work environment, and 167 hires people who embody this culture. This restaurant relies on a team dynamic, and all staff "touch" all tables.
All 167 locations are open for lunch and dinner, Monday – Saturday. Full availability is required. Closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Maitre D' / Host
167 Hospitality Group is hiring a maitre d’/host for
BAR167 Bistro & Lounge
167’s maitre d’s are the first glance which guests receive when they arrive at our restaurants and 167 Hospitality is looking for a person to match our style.
Previous experience as a host or maitre d’ is a plus. 167 works with RESY as a guest book and table assignment.
BAR167 is seeking a maitre d' who can assist in opening the restaurant for the day. A responsible individual who can ensure the restaurant has the proper music, lighting, and table set up. The maitre d' reviews the day and the week's reservations to maximize the service. Reviewing and updating notes for service and guests will be a running task. This position works closely with the management team, and will need to properly communicate needs, concerns, or ideas.
This position will have 20 - 30 hours a week, predominantly lunch shifts.
Each shift is approximately 5- 6 hour shifts from 11am - 5pm or 5pm - 10:30pm
Starting hourly compensation: $20
Job tasks
- Greet and welcome guests
- Communicate table availability or wait times to guests
- Work with maitre d’ and managers to coordinate table assignments
- Use RESY portal for seating, plotting, and communicating
- Assign tables and walk guests to their seats
- Answer questions on 167’s menu to guests
- Organize and plot for future seatings
- Communicate with team on guest requests, allergies, or preferences

Raw Bar Shucker
167 Hospitality has a position open on our raw bar for a proficient shellfish shucker at 167 RAW Oyster Bar and BAR167 Bistro & Lounge.
167 has a strong reputation for the best oysters and raw bar, which includes our staff. Our shellfish shuckers are the lifeblood of our establishment and hold the standard for proper shucking methods.
All shuckers must be highly proficient with multi-tasking and shucking large volumes of shellfish. Clean presentation, in conjunction with professional speed, is required. During service, the shucker greets and engages with the guests, and must be able to answer guests' questions. Our shuckers are responsible for basic food preparation and kitchen help to aid in raw bar mis en place.

Fish Butcher
Interested in working at a fish market on Nantucket for the summer?
Work full time, day hours on the beautiful island of Nantucket with high earnings.
167 Raw Fish Market is seeking a fish butcher from July - October 2024.
Must have experience breaking down whole fish.
Whole fish includes: Swordfish, Halibut, Salmon, and Tuna.
Work 6 days a week, 9am - 5pm.
Hourly wage with overtime and tips, expect $1,600 - $1,750 (pre tax).
Weekly pay.
Must have a positive attitude and can provide employee referrals.
This position has housing for rent of $268, weekly including internet, maid service, trash removal, and basic paper goods.

167 Raw Fish Market is a seafood market that sells gourmet food items, beer, wine and 167 merchandise, Our front of house team works together in all positions. The assigned areas of the fish market change through out the day, and a full understanding of each task is required. Our fish market employees are responsible to cut portions of fish, keep a clean fish case display and store front, ring up retail orders on a touch screen computer system, and basic kitchen preparations. The front of house will engage with the guests, making their experience unique and special with knowledge of all products sold. The company relies on the front of house to work as a team, and must have a courteous and professional attitude in the work place.

Seeking experienced cooks to be familiar with kitchen stations, including garde manger, sauté, grill, and fry. Applicants will have previous experience handling and preparing food according to food safety standards. Our company’s consistency is important, which is driven from the line cooks’ ability to prepare and follow our signature recipes, with the ability to create featured dishes, aligned with our menu style.
Food truck menu consists of tacos, sandwiches, and appetizers. Using a 2 – 3 person line, line cooks are fast paced and multi-taskers.
167’s Food Truck is stationed by our market and prep kitchen with a garden patio adjacent. The food truck does not travel, and works as more of a satellite kitchen.

167 Raw’s prep kitchen handles the daily prep list, fish butchery, process incoming inventory, and keeps a clean kitchen. The prep kitchen works on multiple projects in a team setting.
8 hour shifts, 5 – 6 shifts a week
